About Garden Designer, Eliza Nicholas

Founder of Rocket Garden Design.

Eliza is an award-winning garden designer, who lives and works between Bristol and London.

After growing up surrounded by gardens in a family of horticulturalists, Eliza initially worked in corporate central London, before quickly realising that urban dwellers didn’t have enough plants, nature and green space in their lives, and didn’t have the knowledge to maximise their outdoor spaces.

Eliza set up a popular gardening blog and was soon contributing to lifestyle magazines such as Country Living, and writing for The National Garden Scheme.

After studying at the British Academy of Garden Design, Rocket was born - a garden design initiative prioritising lifestyle and wellbeing.

Rocket Garden Design has now transformed gardens for hundreds of clients, and works with architects and developers on landscaping plans that maximise biodiversity. The landscape design services have expanded to cover Bristol, London and beyond. We also offer in-person and virtual wellbeing workshops, as well as garden maintenance services in and around Bristol.
